It consistently ranks among my top go-to delays, especially when I need to add depth and (experimental) texture to my projects on the computer. This versatile plugin shines with its ability to perform ducking, pitch shifting, and tape emulation, offering a broad spectrum of features that cater to an extensive range of sound design needs. Its sound quality is nothing short of spectacular, delivering exceptional clarity and richness that can transform any audio piece.

You want it darker, I kill the flame. For those seeking a deeper, more resonant tone, the ‘Darker’ sound design preset collection for the Valhalla Delay is the perfect solution. This carefully curated collection provides a vast array of options for both reverbs and delays, enriched with spatial depth, temporal flexibility, and intricate modulation possibilities. I have personally recreated some of my favorite presets from the Meris LVX, as well as from another beloved delay of mine, the Strymon El Capistan, with the intention of taking a step forward in sound innovation. These two pedals are essentials in my toolkit, indispensable for my work.

The 'Darker' preset collection is specifically crafted for Pads and Leads, featuring a total of 29 presets tailored for experimental sound design. Within this collection, you'll find some presets that assert themselves boldly and prominently right from the start, while others are meticulously designed to unfold and evolve gradually, revealing their complexity over time.
